Proven Results for Retailers and Law Enforcement

LVT contributed to a 40% decrease in shoplifting in Opelika, Alabama.
LVT contributed to a 43% decrease in trespassing in Paducah, Kentucky.
Paducah experienced a 54% drop in burglaries 6 months after deployment.

The ACCESS Taskforce was put to the test in Opelika, AL and Paducah, KY. LVT deployed nearly 50 mobile surveillance units to the retail parking lots in the two cities. Once the units were placed, retailers, police, and the cities shared data with the Loss Prevention Research Council (LPRC) who helped track trends and anonymize the data. This data is available to the public, and will allow participants to get ahead of crime to make their cities safer.

What is the ACCESS Taskforce?

ACCESS Taskforce is an acronym for Alliance of Companies and Communities to Enhance Safety and Security. LiveView Technologies (LVT) is partnering with your local police department, government, and retailers to help improve community safety and reduce organized retail crime one city at a time.

Who is LVT?

LVT provides a rapidly deployed safety and security surveillance platform (LVT Platform) to private and public industries, including the largest retailers in the world. The LVT Platform, a combination of hardware (units) and software, provides access to real-time data to quickly deter crime, improve community safety, and reduce organized retail crime.

Why is the ACCESS Taskforce in my city?

Your city officials are genuinely committed to eliminating crime to improve the safety of your community. By deploying the LVT Platform through the ACCESS Taskforce collaboration, we are helping your community prevent crime by deterring and detecting with intelligent safety and security.

How are they making my city safer?

Anywhere the LVT Platform is deployed, safety and security increase as crime decreases. The LVT Platform is proven to decrease violent crime by more than 60%, parking lot incidents by 70%, and shoplifting by 66%.
The LVT Platform provides a live video feed 24/7 regardless of light or weather, and provides law enforcement with evidence in matters of prosecution.
The LVT Platform notifies store employees who can coordinate with law enforcement when suspicious activity is detected so they can respond appropriately.

Are my city officials aware this is here?

Yes. LVT is working closely with local law enforcement and government officials. You can find their statements on their social media pages.

Am I being videotaped?

These video feeds are on 24/7, but are not available to the public. They are only accessible by store employees who can coordinate with law enforcement when suspicious activity is detected so they can respond appropriately to improve the safety and security of the area.

Who has access to the footage?

The retail location where the LVT Platform has been deployed owns all camera footage and data obtained from the unit. They alone can provide access to anyone else wanting access to it, including law enforcement. Limited LVT employees have access to the footage in order to provide technical support and quality control, but they are not able to provide access to anyone other than the owner of the footage without the explicit permission of said owner.

What are the benefits of having the LVT Platform in my city?
